Regency at Dominion Valley: An Elegant and Beautiful Atmosphere for Weddings

By Helena Tavares Kennedy

From the beautifully manicured outdoor garden areas and adorable stone bridge over gentle streams to the lovely indoor ballroom space, Regency at Dominion Valley is a beautiful place to host your wedding. Located in Haymarket, Regency at Dominion Valley offers an 18-hole golf course, like many other venues in the area, but the rolling hills, beautiful scenery, and customized wedding service makes it stand out.

Weddings can be held outside in a variety of locations, including a gorgeous round patio amphitheater that can take the stiffness out of typical row seating and transform it into a circle of family and friends surrounding you with love on your special day. The amphitheater overlooks the Arnold Palmer-designed golf course and calming streams, lakes, and gentle spouting water fountain features, including some 20-foot-tall fountains. There is no lack of areas to take beautiful photos either, with the stacked stone footbridge being one of the most popular spots.

Regent’s indoor space has recently been renovated and includes a 30,000 square-foot clubhouse with an elegant yet modern and neutral-toned ballroom that can accommodate up to 200 guests. The ballroom features contemporary light fixtures and shiny silver dim-able chandeliers and feels like an elegant canvas that allows you to customize the room to your colors and style. Right outside the ballroom is a veranda with spectacular views of the Bull Run Mountains and the golf course.

To ensure everything goes right for your special day, Regency's 30 employees are passionate about the work they do to serve each of their wedding couples. “We understand that not all of our wedding couples are the same, and each special occasion that takes place here is treated as an individual unique memorable experience,” said Maria Brady, Regency's Director of Sales. Between Brady, Executive Chef Onin Martin and Food and Beverage Director Jason Meringolo, they have over 60 years of combined knowledge and experience, which comes in handy for the 35 weddings on average they host each year. About 80% of their weddings have their ceremonies on site.

Fine-tuned Cuisine

While some brides may look for pre-set menus to make it easier on themselves for planning purposes, many brides look for custom packages, and Regency can deliver on both. Regency offers predesigned menus featuring steak, chicken, and salmon to choose from, as well as customized packages for those looking for something more personalized. Executive Chef Onin Martin, who has 12 years of experience and studied international cuisine, can accommodate special requests like vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, American regional menu items, international cuisine, and more. This allows brides to really customize the menu based on what they want to offer their guests.

Regency also recently welcomed Sous Chef Matt Wetklow, who earned his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu University in Atlanta, Georgia, and prior to Regency shared his culinary knowledge at Fairfax’s La Rue 123.

Additional Support for Brides

Regency also offers brides a preferred partner program where they can help you arrange for your other wedding-related services such as photographers, florists, entertainers and more. They connect brides with experienced vendors so brides can ensure they are hiring true professionals with the added advantage of having already done weddings at the Regency so they are familiar with the setting and can jump right in to make their day an unforgettable one.
