A (Wedding) Day in the Countryside

A styled photo shoot is a lot like a wedding. Chemistry is key when you're putting together your team of event professionals.

You're looking for wedding pros at the top of their game and ready to be a part of a creative team for a day. Like a bride, I had my "vision" of what the day would bring. And like a smart bride, I enlisted the services of an event planner - Stephanie Dasch of Diamond Events

Stephanie ran this photo shoot just like a wedding, After obtaining everyone's contact information, she put together meetings (either in person or by phone)  to go over the role each vendor would play. She accompanied our model to bridal salon and styling appointments. And Stephanie put together a fail safe timeline for the day of our shoot.

In addition to running a tight ship on our styled shoot, Stephanie also provided awesome creative touches with her own collection of vintage decor. She then interpreted her vision of the dessert display to our baker (who brought the "real deal" that day - well enjoyed by all after the shoot!).

On a gorgeous Fall day in the Virginia countryside at Marriott Ranch, the weather cooperated and the following vendors definitely brought their "A game":

Venue, Marriott Ranch; Photography, Glass Eyed Pony; Gown, Soliloquy Bridal Couture; Jewelry, Hunt Country Jewelers; Hair & Makeup, Brush Strokes; Floral Arrangements & Headpiece, Design in Bloom; Linens, Everything Linen; Cakes & Desserts, Cakes by Happy Eatery; Sign Decor, Outside the Window; Wedding Planner/Designer, Diamond Events. Special thanks to Carolyn Cutshall of Hunt Country Jewelers for serving as our "bride" and to our other "model" - Knucklehead from the Marriott Ranch.
