Hidden Creek - a hidden jewel

When Jessica Hatter came on board to handle catering for Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston, she wanted to show some of the features that make this property such a hidden jewel for a wedding. There's an outdoor ceremony area, banquet room with lots of light and neutral decor, a separate area with a built-in dance floor and romantic fireplace, a gazebo that's a great background for a bridal portrait, and (in my opinion) best of all - a fire pit for s'mores!

To showcase the club for a styled photo shoot, Jessica asked me to put together a team to work with Daniel Wendling of Two Fourteen Photography. Here's the All Star lineup:

The Look: Our model Sam looks stunning in this lace gown from Blush Bridal Boutique in Haymarket. Blush also provided the hair accessory, bracelet and belt. To complete her look, Buffy Fox of You'Nique Chic styled Sam's hair and applied her makeup, keeping the eyes soft and accenting the mouth with a fuchsia lipstick to bring the shoot's signature color into play.

The Decor: With the room painted a soft grey, Hidden Creek is a great place to make a bold statement of color. Silver grey satin and crinkle tablecloths bring elegance to the room and allow the fuchsia to strikingly stand out with napkins and sashes on pristine white chair covers - all provided by Everything Linen. To give the room depth, Hilary Panning, owner of Fleurtations, created both high and low centerpieces, tying into the silver & fuchsia color scheme.  Hilary also designed the bride's bouquet. And what room setup is not complete without a beautiful wedding cake. Designed by Linda Rothgeb, owner of Cakes by Linda, the cake features lace and bling details that reflect the model's gown.

The Details: It's the little touches that make the setup sparkle. Event Planner Amanda Smith, owner of White Pumpkin Wedding Design, created the menu and seating cards, styled the card table and prepared a delicious s'mores station.
