Red Deer is rich in history and has a few hidden gems perfectly set to preserve history and the memories they hold. When Julie MacKinnon Photography set out to style this afternoon English-tea inspired wedding, she couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting than the Cronquist Tea House at Bower Ponds. Built in 1911 by Emmanuel Cronquist, this victorian-style farmhouse is a historic icon in the city meticulously maintained by the Red Deer Cultural Heritage Society. At the time of the shoot, several of the windows were away for refinishing to keep up the original detail, but that didn’t slow anyone down. This space is extraordinarily versatile, making it an ideal spot for intimate weddings.
