This classy lakeside Real Brides and Weddings feature was are sharing with you today is simply stunning. You are going to love all the details photographed by Green Holly Photography. We had an opportunity to interview the bride, Jenna about her and Brad's wedding day, how they met and some advice for other brides. Here is what she had to say...
We met at Michigan State where we lived 3 doors down from one another. We became best friends for about 2 years before we started dating. After graduation, I took a job in Phoenix, AZ and my husband got into medical school in Miami, FL. We had to live apart for 2.5 years. A year into our long distance relationship, Brad came to AZ to visit. We went to Scottsdale for dinner and I saw they offered complimentary gondola rides for restaurant guests and insisted we check it out. Little did I know, that was a part of Brad's plan all along. We got to the gondola where I was greeted with a dozen roses. Once we got in the boat and were out on the lake, Brad got on one knee (yes, in the little boat) and proposed! It was at sunset and it was perfect!
Brides & Weddings: What was your theme?
Rustic theme. I picked the theme and color scheme as I wanted something that was unique and displayed our style as a couple. Relaxed, personal and fun-loving!
Brides & Weddings: Describe the dress you chose and the moment you knew it was the one.
The dress I chose was unlike any other dress I had ever seen. The back of the dress is what sold me. It had a heart-shaped keyhole or cutout in the back of the dress. The front was a sweetheart with a jeweled overlap. The whole thing was covered in beads that sparkled in the light!
Brides & Weddings: What was your favorite detail?
We had long rectangular farm tables at the reception hall, each with a different and unique flower arrangement centerpiece.
Brides & Weddings: Any advice for other brides?
Enjoy the process, enjoy being engaged and get your groom involved. Even if he says he doesn't have an opinion, its a day to celebrate the two of you and that way he'll feel apart of the process.
