Rustic Modern Outdoor Wedding | Real Weddings

Eliana & Randy are the definition of fun-loving, adventurous, outdoorsy couples in love, which is everything a photographer can hope for. Their shoot is full of laughter and joy and perfectly captures an outdoor wedding and down-to-earth bride with a big heart. Brides & Weddings recently sat down with the bride and asked her some questions about her wedding day & advice for future brides!

We met through mutual friends and were great friends for three years before we started dating each other. We both always had a secret crush on each other and after three years of being friends we started to go on lunch dates alone and from there it progress into dating and now being married. Our engagement was absolutely perfect. We were in Aruba and Randy proposed to me late in the afternoon by the water on the beach when we had the beach practically to ourselves. We were also both celebrating our birthdays, which are two days apart, during the trip as well so needless to say it was a magical trip.

Brides & Weddings: What was your theme? What inspired you to pick that theme?

Rustic modern. I was inspired by nature honestly. I knew I wanted to be surrounded by trees and water. I knew I wanted more natural and lodge-inspired elements for the wedding. The soft and delicate flowers we picked, to the wedding invitation made from lace...To the rustic wood wedding sign we had. The gold accent candles were more of a rustic gold tone as well.

Brides & Weddings: Describe the dress you chose and the moment you knew it was the one.

The dress is from Justin Alexander. It was an ivory color fit and flare gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, beaded lace, illusion back, metallic lace underlay, and chapel length train. I knew it was the one once I saw the beautiful beaded lace and when I tried on the dress I started crying.

Brides & Weddings: What was your favorite detail.

My favorite detail was the flowers! They were absolutely gorgeous!! My bouquet had a cascade look with light tones of purple, cream and pink roses with smaller white and purple flowers falling. The centerpieces were out of this world gorgeous. It was made from light tone of pink and purple roses, orchids, white and purple baby’s breath, and white hydrangeas.

Brides & Weddings: Describe the first dance.

It was magical to dance with my husband in front of everyone who was there to support us and who we love so much!! At the same time it felt like everyone else melted away from the background as we lost ourselves in the moment together.

Brides & Weddings: Any advice for other brides & grooms?

Remember to soak in the moment!!
Look at everyone who is in the room and feel all their love!  It will probably be the only time all those people are in the same room. Take in how much you love your significant other and how amazing you feel at that very moment. Remember its about enjoying the ride and do not sweat the small stuff!
