Before Ashton and Josh's wedding the only thing I could tell you about Pembrook, Virginia, is to do the speed limit - because out of 31 years of my life, it is the only place I have ever gotten a speeding ticket. However, after shooting Ashton and Josh's wedding at Doe Creek Farm, I have a lot more pleasant memories of this small town. Between the silohs, apple orchards, and the mountain views this place is a dream to shoot and the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
Ashton got ready in a two story farm house that overlooked her ceremony site and had beautiful indoor lighting for photos and the guys got ready not too far away in the reception all within viewing distance of the farmhouse. Ashton and Josh are two of the sweetest people I've met and after meeting both of their families it's easy to see how these two became such incredible people.
The hospitality that both of their families showed us, was heart warming - but what was most touching was listening to the speeches given by those who are close to both the bride and groom. The heartfelt words that flowed during the reception from the best man, maid of honor, matron of honor, and father of the bride were stunningly beautiful and just goes to show you what amazing people Ashton and Josh are.
