Ariel and Dallas's wedding ceremony took place in a wooded setting cascading with oak trees and matching arches. The reception then moved to an outdoor tent for a relaxed evening to grab your cocktail and mingle. Ariel and Dallas did not stop smiling throughout the entire day, with the exception of a few happy tears at the ceremony. The love between these two was radiating to every guest present. Brides & Weddings recently interviewed the bride and asked her details about her special day.
We met through mutual friends that we worked with. Started off as friends that grew into something more. Dallas surprised me with a proposal on my birthday. I said yes! And the planning began. My family is from out of state and we wanted to get married somewhere that would have activities for people visiting and so we decided on the dells. It was a beautiful summer day and the ceremony took place in the wooded area near the golf course. Absolutely beautiful. Everyone had a wonderful. Definitely a dream come true!
Brides & Weddings: Describe the dress you chose and the moment you knew it was the one.
I tried on tons and tons and decided on a corset top, mermaid bottom. I wanted something that hugged my curves without looking scandalous and this dress had the lace I wanted and the corset top and made me feel beautiful and like I could still move and have fun in it. Exactly what I wanted.
Brides & Weddings: What was your favorite detail?
The lace pattern on the dress and the way it laid on the train of my dress.
Brides & Weddings: Describe the first dance.
It was romantic and fun. Refreshing to have a chance to talk to my husband without being pulled in different directions.
Brides & Weddings: Any advice for other brides?
Two photographers are a must. Don't be afraid to let your family help you plan and set up. Trust that they'll make sure your day is as beautiful as you imagined it would be.
