Whimsical Outdoor Wedding | Real Weddings

You will love the details of this real wedding feature. Rebekah & Jack have the sweetest story. Their photographer Samantha gives us some facts about how they met and their special day!

Rebekah and Jack tied the knot during their vintage, outdoor wedding in the backyard of their Rebekah’s family home. The two actually met a few years ago when Rebekah was grabbing brunch with her friend at Keke’s Breakfast Café. Rebekah noticed Jack, who was serving at the time, the moment he walked by and mentioned how cute he was. That little comment quickly spread throughout the restaurant and got back to Jack in no time. Jack asked if he could meet up with Rebekah after his shift and swung by her friend’s house to meet her. Since that very day they have been together ever since.
Rebekah and her stepmom Katrina planned out the most beautiful, vintage, backyard wedding. From soft pastels in the bride and bridesmaid bouquets to mason jar glasses with lights strung around their tented reception, every details was lovingly made and perfectly placed. My two favorite details of Rebkah’s wedding day though were the groom and groomsmen boutonnieres, which was so out of this world in their uniqueness, and the cookie pops that surrounded my couple’s cake, which had a jelly filled heart in the middle
Our day started off switching last minute to capture the guys getting ready at the Netzorg home. Katrina and Rebekah were worried since originally the girls were supposed to get ready there and a last minute switch was needed. After capturing the guys suiting up and a few individual shots of everyone, I headed on over to where the girls were getting ready up on the hill at another home. As soon as I stepped in, I was in heaven! From the sweetest, pastel pink bunk bed to white furniture, every detail was girly and perfect for a bride and her bridesmaids getting ready. Katrina and Rebekah were both happy the new option worked out and I couldn’t have been happier to have such and adorable backdrop to shoot my gorgeous girls!Rebekah is such a sweetheart. Quiet and reserved, her bridesmaids hugged around her and had her laughing in no time for photos.
I just loved how perfect my bride’s lace wedding gown fit the theme of her wedding in addition to the little bit of bling she had on ranging from a gorgeous engagement ring to her super fun sandals. After getting ready shots were done, we headed back over to the Netzorg home for a moment to pray before the ceremony. Side by side with a door between them, Rebekah and Jack prayed with one another. The moment was incredibly touching and it was hard to hold back tears. I am sure Rebekah’s dad and pasture David felt the same way, seeing his little girl about to be married to her husband. The ceremony was just as beautiful as my couple. The bridesmaids walked down arm in arm with their groomsmen and Rebekah came down on the arm of her father as their family friend played the guitar. From a candle lighting to vows, every moment was filled with love.Formal portraits of family took place right after in front of the ceremony arch and wedding party shots took place on the dock. The setting sun made for some absolutely beautiful newlywed portraits when my couple finally had a moment alone as husband and wife for the very first time.
My favorite portraits would have to be the two of them cozied up in the vines are the little trail by the ceremony arch. The images are just so magical and remind me of the secret garden.Their newlywed portraits also reminded me of their bohemian engagement where I learned about how Jack proposed. After a beautiful romantic date night, Jack brought Rebekah to her brother’s house to spend some quality time with family. Heading up to the house, Rebekah found a candle lit walkway with rose petals scattered about. It truly felt right out of a romance movie and at the very end of the walkway was a small table with a little box and champagne. Sitting in the box was the ring Jack picked out for Rebekah. Dropping to one knee, he asked his darling for her hand in marriage and of course Rebekah said yes!The reception was also filled with lit candles and tons of love. Family and friends danced the night away to great music and great wine!I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture Rebekah and Jack’s special day and truly feel blessed to have met such an incredible family. I really do luck out with not only the most amazing brides, but the most amazing families. Wishing these two a blast on their honeymoon that they are planning and a beautiful life together!
