Romantic Rose Gold Wedding | Real Weddings

Remi and Bryan were fated to be together. They went to school together from Elementary to High School but never thought they were friends growing up. Until years later, when they reconnected and started looking through old yearbooks and discovered that they were friends as freshman.

Brides & Weddings recently asked the bride some questions about her day and for some advice to our readers. Find out what she said about their favorite detail, what her theme was and why their uncoordinated dance skills made it the perfect day!

Brides & Weddings: How did you and Bryan meet?

Bryan and I met somewhere around second grade. We went to the same elementary, middle, and high school. We were never really friends, but always friendly. After college, we ran into each other at a local bar and hit it off. Four days later he "happened to stop in" to the tattoo shop I worked at and the rest is history! About two years into our relationship we were looking through old year books and turns out we were friends in 9th grade and neither of us remembered!

Brides & Weddings: Three words that describe your wedding:

Perfect, Romantic, Party

Brides & Weddings: What was your theme? What inspired you to pick that theme?

If I had to pick a theme, I would say romantic. We both love fall, so we wanted to stick with burgundy as our main color. My ring is Rose Gold, which is why we wanted that included as well. We wanted things to be romantic and beautiful and fit in with the lakeside venue.

Brides & Weddings: What were your wedding colors?

Burgundy, Mauve, & Rose Gold

Brides & Weddings: Describe the dress you chose and the moment you knew it was the one.

My dress was made by Wtoo. It had a lace bodice with an illusion net skirt. I loved the lace motifs so much, I ordered extra from the manufacturer and had my seamstress create sleeves. I knew it was the one when I felt good in it. I had always dreamed of a long sleeve dress and as soon as I was told sleeves could be made I was sold!

Brides & Weddings: What was your favorite detail?

My favorite detail was my husbands tie clip. One of his best friends passed away during our relationship. We had both known him for 15 years. I had a tie clip engraved with his name, so he could be with Bryan the whole day. It meant so much to him.

Brides & Weddings: What local vendors did you use?

Old Daley Custom Catering - Caterer
Jessica Gray of Bella Moda Salon - Hairstylist
Erin Muller Makeup - Makeup Artist
YM Photography - Photographer
Mountain Mint Films - Videographer
Blooms - Floral Shop
SEH Entertainment - DJ

Brides & Weddings: Describe your first dance:

We are so goofy that the first dance was a blast. We're awkward and uncoordinated, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Brides & Weddings: Any advice for our readers?

Enjoy the process and start early! Plan for extra expenses and don't take it too seriously. At the end of the day, no matter what goes wrong (and something will), you will be married to your best friend.
