Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club offers Blue Ridge Mountain vistas and charm

LAKE FREDERICK, VA. -- A new lodge and restaurant at Trilogy® at Lake Frederick, an exclusive and upscale 55+ active lifestyle resort community 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., has joined the list of Northern Virginia wedding hotspots. The Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club, which held its grand opening over the summer, is already preparing for several weddings at its 36,000-square-foot facility.

The new state-of-the-art facility includes an outdoor ceremony lawn with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking Lake Frederick, a ballroom that can accommodate as many as 200 guests plus a dance floor, an adjoining garden courtyard that can be used by as many as 50 guests, and a private suite for members of the wedding party to use before, during and after the ceremony.

Wedding catering is overseen by Scott Bilstad, executive chef of Region’s 117, a farm-to-table restaurant onsite at the Shenandoah Lodge and features American comfort food with produce and wine from regional sources.

In addition to the world-class amenities offered on site, the lodge’s Shoreline Outfitters can provide kayaks and canoes for wedding and engagement photos to be taken on the 117-acre Lake Frederick. Staff can also light and monitor a fire in an outdoor pit at night for a small fee.
