If you have a lot of out of town wedding guests and prefer to go the all-inclusive route when it comes to reception planning, a hotel is your best bet for a wedding venue. You can make your hotel "wedding central" for the weekend. And there's something magical about a well appointed hotel ballroom.
Recently, Catering Sales Manager Maysoon Sayyad of the Hilton Arlington hosted an open house for area wedding planners. With some decor help from Diamond Events and Everything Linen, along with some great lounge furniture and uplighting from the hotel's in-house A/V department, Maysoon transformed her ballroom into a sophisticated ceremony and reception combination.
One of the nice things about this Ballston hotel is that the ballroom, with its breathtaking chandeliers, is located on its own floor. "This is your space for an intimate setting," says Maysoon. There is an open foyer for cocktail hour and the ballroom can accommodate up to 250 guests. The property is steps from metro and in the heart of a vibrant restaurant district.
Maysoon has an extensive background in catering and wedding planning. "I am part of your wedding," she says. And just because you want an all-inclusive package, it doesn't mean that you have to settle for someone else's cookie cutter idea. Maysoon understands how important it is to customize each event. She loves to design sleek, modern weddings and likes to use food as a focal point.
The Hilton Arlington is located at 950 North Stafford Street, just minutes from I-66. Take a tour of the ballroom, courtesy of Evelyn Alas Photography and call 703.812.5113 to schedule your consultation or email Maysoon.
