The nearby Northern Virginia Hunt Country makes a perfect location for a wedding weekend. I recently had the pleasure of joining a group of wedding planners for an evening at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, located just outside the village of Middleburg.
Set on 265 rolling acres boasting spectacular views, Goodstone Inn & Restaurant features countryside luxury and gourmet cuisine. Personalized service is the hallmark of this upscale inn. There are three wedding venues from which to choose:
The Carriage House: This 100 year old structure is the heart of the Goodstone property. Wedding ceremonies are often held at the ivy facade adjacent to the pool.
French Farm Cottage: A winding stone path leads to this charming cottage located by a lush meadow that serves as a backdrop for ceremonies.
The Manor House: Built in 1943, this gracious English country manor home can accommodate a cocktail style reception for up to 50 guests or an outdoor tented reception for 75. And the view is simply stunning.
For you and your guests, Goodstone Inn offers 18 wonderfully appointed en-suite rooms in six residences and there's a private cottage that's perfect for newlyweds. Award winning fine dining featuring "farm to table" is part of the culinary experience. Fresh eggs are collected each morning for cooked to order breakfast and the inn relies heavily on produce and herbs culled from its gardens. And to work off those great meals, you can enjoy hiking trails, canoeing on Goose Creek and the inn's complimentary mountain bikes.
All wedding rental packages require a two night stay and menu prices range from $120 per person for buffets and stations to $130 pp for a 3-course meal and $160 pp for a 4-course meal.
